Energía Argentina S.A. invites national and international companies to participate in the national and international public tender for the execution of the first private initiative project related to the Argentinian national natural gas transportation system.
The project involves expanding the transportation capacity of the Perito Moreno Gas Pipeline (GPM), which currently transports up to 26 million cubic meters of gas per day from Vaca Muerta (Neuquén) to the province of Buenos Aires.
The planned works consist of installing new additional compressor stations at certain points along the pipeline and upgrading existing facilities. This will enable the addition of 14 million cubic meters per day, allowing the Perito Moreno gas pipeline to reach its maximum operational transportation capacity of 40 million cubic meters per day.
Energía Argentina will sign a 15-year gas transportation capacity reservation agreement with the awarded bidder, who will also be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the GPM. Upon the conclusion of this term, the new facilities will revert to the Argentine National Government.
This initiative, declared of public interest by the National Government, aims to accelerate the development of assets in Vaca Muerta, generate fiscal savings, and provide benefits to the national trade balance.
